I highly recommend Vekraman S/O Krishnan as a candidate for the Hornby
scholarship.
I have known Vekraman for the
past year in my capacity as his trainer on the British Council Pro-Elt up- skilling
programme in Melaka, Malaysia. In this time, Vekraman has shown
dedication, commitment and enthusiasm towards improving his English in order to
improve his own ELT.
The Pro-Elt up- skilling course included both online and face-to-face
components. Vekraman demonstrated confidence in taking the initiative
and leading group work in class and despite a heavy teaching workload, he was
able to meet deadlines for the online tasks. He has worked hard to improve any
weaknesses in English and I have confidence that his Aptis test results will
demonstrate this. Based on this, I would rate Vekraman’s academic
performance as superior.
He demonstrates drive to succeed and develop personally and professionally wherever
possible and, therefore, makes the most of any chance to add to his knowledge.
I am therefore delighted he has applied
for the Hornby scholarship and can wholeheartedly recommend Vekraman to
be a perfect fit for the MA in Tesol programme in the UK.
